Good job so far. Cute characters too, played it all the way through although I'm sure I missed some things, like that mysterious orb that requires a code... Also, hope the people talking about text don't discourage you, it's a nice concept! Hope you keep it up.
It definitely has something furry size games are usually lacking for me. It strikes the perfect balance between the cruelty and the playfulness of the taunting. We are on the same wavelength for this kind of thing. Not to shamelessly self-promote, but have you seen my text adventure game? It is text-only, but I think you might enjoy it. If you don't have Windows or don't want to download Quest to play it, it is playable online here: https://textadventures.co.uk/games/view/wkqe50yebeqz9wz1ymsmua/a-bun-in-vulpinev...
Desperately needs a proofreader, what is it with your seeming allergy to capitalization? It looks bad, it feels bad, there's so many spelling and grammar errors that makes it hard to play through, even if you're good at skimming and letting your brain correct it as you go. Please stop having your shift keys be on strike for whatever reason, it doesn't make you endearing to start sentences without capitalization - it makes you look like a preschooler who doesn't know better and throws everything off. Acceptable in chat rooms, not acceptable outside of texts and instant messaging.
Excuse me! I DID NOT CHEAT! I guarded until I had 100 TP Then used my special, Used the potion then Still managed to guard till my special was ready and won with 8 HP. How dare you Give me a game over for Beating the tutorial!
I liked the game and it has a lot of potential, it's a bit confusing and it has some bugs, for example some signs and items have nothing written on them.
Loving the playthrough, and love the ways to find bad ends, it makes sense bugging them multiple times to get them and doing stupid stuff lol.
There is one thing i noticed, and wondering if it's something with my files, but when i bug the reindeer guard enough times, and when i talk to the bunny mage, it says in text that it will be a picture of something happening, and then goes to game over.
Is that a placeholder to later put images in? Or is something wrong on my end?
Loved the first chapter. Not really a fan of furry characters but wanted to give the game a try because it looked good. I definitely was not disappointed. A few things did bug me though, one was how eàsy the game is. The combat feels easy if you just do one or two additional fights per area. The 2nd thing is the start of the game has the fight against Annie which is easily winnable but yet it just calls you a cheater and Game Overs you. Other than those i had fun.
Side questions, is there a way to run from the rookie in the beginning of the game? She mentioned it but i can't seem to find out if it is true. 2nd question, is there an interaction with the guard upstairs? The red furred one. 3rd question, how do i get the scene from your 4th picture? The one with the bandit and the leash.
ok the annie fight is winnable but i kinda wanted to show the player that loosing is part of the game so i made it as difficult as i could without feeling like a straight wall, the game is easy because x3 combat is really not the point. i been telling everyone on my discord that the whole point of the game is to find all the fun ways "not to win" the guard upstares does have a bad ending attached but you can speak with her after you grow back up to! she may even comment on the wizard hat the player stolen if they are wearing it! and sadly the bandit ass picture is not on the game yet, i mean its on the files but due i want chapter 2 to start with new mechanics i opted to leave it off the first chapter! however im happy a lot of people will find them great on the next chapter when that comes out.
Do you need help with copy-editing the game so as to eliminate the abysmal grammar and spelling errors? I realize this is more proof of concept than full game right now, but in a classic jRPG text makes or breaks the game.
Also, seriously, if you don't want people to beat the first encounter, maybe you shouldn't allow that to happen in the first place, or implement an actual alternate path should you beat it? I also got accused of cheating for beating it legitimately along with an immediate Game Over.
You are the author; you have control over these things.
I couldn't get the Linux version to run (Running ./nw from the directory), so I ran the Windows version under Wine which seems to work fine :) However in battle when selecting an enemy to use a move on, the FPS tanks to like 1 and I have to spam the spacebar to get it to select :(
Other than that very fun game! I hope more male characters get added
not at the moment.. i kinda wanna keep everything very casual, working on games is hard and this is my first game so i figure this was going to be a small thing. however if yah wanna see more indeept wips yah free to join our discord! i usually upload wip art or teasers. however ill do that here too!
If you talk with the reindeer guard and chose to flee you can´t get the wool anymore you just get a game over when you enter, i don´t know if that is intended because it blocks the progress, unless i am missing something.
sadly that's intended >w<; i added some uhm maybe not so fun softlocks that and one in the shopkeep. i was hoping people would find that after the whole 2nd quest with the shopkeeper. so if you flee the rookie guard she will get you as soon as you enter the inn.
Btw i think theres a bug? Like if you go back to the bnui mage after defeating him, the dialouge just keeps repeating without end and basixally softlocks you
thats a softlock i need to fix xwx hehe i did some late stuff there and probably forgot to end the loop! that's my b. ill fix it and update the link ill make a post about it as soon i fix some bugs here and there.
Just found an error in the windows version, not sure if it's in the linux version, but if you return to the wizard's place after regrowing, you get stuck in a loop of him catching you
yeah i been getting dms about issues with the linux version as is, i would heavily suggest people get the windows one.. xx;; rpg maker shhits their pants with the linux version i don't know why

The taunting in this game is great. It pushes all of my buttons.
yeah that was mostly what i been wanting to make for a game, <3 i'm glad so many people find this XD as appealing as i am

OH! Now Surrendering on the Next Battle is another game over... Make up you mind! LOL

Wonderful game as always Ray!

huh yeah.. that's a new one .. sorry i thin maybe your game files are corrupted in some way xwx;
Yeh i tried doing a fresh install and everything. It does that with the bunny mage after you beat them and talk to them, and now with the rookie.
Got the same here, I checked my game and the picture isn't in ther

Excuse me but how am i a cheater for being that mouse up whp stole from me by using my available attacks 😭
I beat her fair and square!!! She is the cheater ;w;
I now want a specil reward for beating her smhh!! (Jk jk btw, im saying this right after actually managing to "kill" her)
Oh it look like the Linux rar contains only window files :0
yeah i was told that xwx amma fix it
Thanks! I was able to play a bit on Steam Deck, it's really fun! :3
awsome! im glad yah got fun ^^ <3
The linux version seems to be the exact same as the windows one, so it can't be played natively.
Other than that, always great to have a new size game, especially such a high quality one!
